1. Acceptance of Terms

By making a reservation, accessing our website, or staying at Amahle Guest House ("we", "us", "our", or "the Property"), you ("the Guest") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, you must not use our services or make a booking.

These Terms apply to all guests, visitors, and users of the Amahle Guest House website and booking services.

2. Reservations & Bookings

Making a Reservation

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or an agreed deposit. A booking confirmation email constitutes a binding agreement between the Guest and Amahle Guest House.

Accuracy of Information

Guests are responsible for providing accurate personal information, including name, contact details, and the correct number of guests. Inaccurate information may result in the cancellation of your booking without a refund.

Pricing

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Rates are per room per night. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time prior to confirmation.

Payment

Payment is processed securely via Paystack. By completing payment you authorise the charge to your card. We do not store card details on our servers.

3. Check-In / Check-Out

  • Check-in: From 14:00 (2:00 PM). Early check-in is subject to availability and may attract an additional fee.
  • Check-out: By 11:00 (11:00 AM). Late check-out is subject to availability and may attract an additional fee.
  • Guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon check-in.
  • Room keys / access cards must be returned at check-out. Loss of keys may result in a replacement charge.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to our reservations team. The date the written notice is received determines which tier applies.

No-Shows

If a guest fails to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior written notification, the full booking amount will be forfeited and the reservation cancelled.

Early Departures

If a guest departs before the scheduled check-out date, the full booking amount for the remaining booked nights is forfeited. No refund will be issued for unused nights arising from an early departure.

Force Majeure

In exceptional circumstances beyond either party's control (e.g. natural disasters, declared national emergencies), we will consider cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis at management's discretion.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

5. Guest Conduct

  • Guests are expected to respect the property and other guests at all times.
  • Quiet hours are observed between 22:00 and 07:00.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas of the property.
  • Amahle Guest House reserves the right to remove any guest whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, abusive, or damaging to the property, without refund.
  • Any damage caused to the property by the guest or their visitors will be charged to the guest.
  • The number of guests occupying a room may not exceed the maximum stated at the time of booking.

6. Liability

Amahle Guest House shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or injury to persons or property occurring on the premises, except where directly attributable to the gross negligence of management or staff.

Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings. We recommend the use of in-room safes where available. Amahle Guest House accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable South African law, our total liability for any claim arising from your stay shall not exceed the total amount paid for your booking.

7. Privacy & Data

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By making a booking you consent to the processing of your personal data as described therein.

We process personal data in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 4 of 2013 (South Africa) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
